There really is a Taylor Shellfish farm. I drove by one of their locations out on the coast earlier this summer. But now, if you work in downtown Seattle, driving very far is not needed. In fact, if you work in Pioneer Square, the newest Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar is now open and serving delectable oysters, clams and mussels daily at 410 Occidental Ave S—a very short walk from the Colman, Grand Central, 211, Buttnick and City Loan Buildings! If you work in Market Square or Pier 70, you can also dig the clams in Queen Anne at 124 Republican St. or on Capitol Hill at 1521 Melrose Ave.

Bumbershoot is the premiere arts festival in America, with a long, rich history and a remarkable record of attracting major acts. Block-by-Block: Inventing Amazing Architecture now at the EMP at Seattle Center
Have any LEGO® fans in your circle? Here’s what’s stacking up at the EMP at Seattle Center. While kids have been using these little studded bricks to build amazing creations since their invention in 1949, these omnipresent toy building blocks are being used for all kinds of amazing creations around the world. Check out models of some of the most noteworthy landmarks on earth built by former LEGO® certified professional artist Dan Parker. Nearly 200,000 LEGO® blocks represent the Space Needle, Chrysler Building, and many more. There is also a hands-on portion of the exhibit where you can create your very own architectural wonder. Suitable for all ages. Hurry, this fun exhibit ends September 1.

Seattle’s Argosy Cruises offers a variety of on-the-water experiences, with one of the most popular being a one-hour narrated harbor tour. Cruise Elliott Bay and hear about Seattle’s history while taking in the colorful waterfront, skyline, and shipping terminals. The magnificent Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges provide the backdrop. If you’re looking for a great bike adventure to end the summer, now’s the time to reserve your place in the Cascade Bicycle Club’s RSVP-2 coming up August 15. It’s a two-day ride from Seattle to downtown Vancouver. Enjoy 188 miles of scenic back roads with an overnight stop. The ride ends in downtown Vancouver, Canada, with a finish line festival including a no-host bar, barbecue and music.

RapidRide has made commuting into Seattle a lot easier for a lot of people, and now the new “F” Line will speed up travel between Sea-Tac, Burien, Tukwila and Renton. With predicable service throughout the day, the commute is easy. Just show up at one of the beautiful and comfortable new shelters and know an express bus will be by shortly.
